Make your escape to the countryside on our smallholding in the south west ...
... with Bude, Widemouth Bay and Sandymouth beaches just 8 miles away
At the end of a private tree lined drive, Carpenter's Tinney is an ideal base to totally relax and unwind on holiday. Our three self catering cottages have been carefully restored from an old range of stone and cob barns forming part of a traditional courtyard.
Inside guests will find cosy rooms with comfortable, modern furnishings and free WiFi.
From the courtyard you can wander directly on to the delightful grounds which sweep down to the River Tamar which forms the border between Devon and Cornwall. You can even have a go at fishing on our river banks, ideal for game fishing.
There are play areas for the children to enjoy and a covered barbeque area with seating. One small/medium well behaved dog is welcome to join you on holiday at Carpenter's Tinney.
Swimming Pool and Hot Tubs
From May to the end of September, guests can enjoy the shared used of a five metre heated outdoor swimming pool (additional charge applies).
Our recently installed decking area by the swimming pool provides the ideal place to sit and relax overlooking our lovely gardens.
There is also a covered seating area with barbeques in the gardens.
For guests at Beech Cottage, there is now a private hot tub available all year. Guests at Oak Cottage also have the option of a private hot tub available
from September to the end of June. We appreciate a hot tub may not appeal to everyone, hence the hot tub is an additional facility
to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity if you wish (additional charge applies).
Open All Year
Which ever season you may visit, whether as a couple, friends or as a family, the feeling of 'away from it all' is a reflection of Carpenter's, and as the old saying goes 'away from the maddening crowds',
this sums up what we try to achieve here.
Experiencing the animals and countryside is our thing. We as a family always welcome and enjoy any help, be it assisting in feeding the animals or general countryside
involvement on our smallholding.

The only thing we lack is guaranteed sun, but there is still plenty here, hopefully to make your short break or holiday a happy one!
